The winery is located in the municipality of Dhron (Bernkastel area) in the German wine-growing region of Mosel. Its origins date back to 2000, when Andreas Adam reactivated his grandfather's disused winery in parallel with his now completed studies in Geisenheim. The winery is run jointly with his sister Barbara. The vineyards cover five hectares with 40 plots in the single vineyards Häs'chen (in sole ownership) and Hofberger (Dhron) as well as Goldtröpfchen (Piesport), some of which are planted with ungrafted vines. 90% Riesling is cultivated, and since 2015 also some Pinot Noir.

The musts are fermented spontaneously with the goal of terroir-accentuated wines and are stored for a long time on the fine lees. The wines are matured in the old vaulted cellar in classic large Fuderholz barrels or in stainless steel tanks. They are then bottled without fining in the antique green classic Schlegel bottle with a bottle label dating back to 1871. The premium wines of the house include Riesling Auslese Dhroner Hofberg and Riesling Auslese Dhroner Häs'chen. In years with suitable weather conditions, Spätlese and ice wines are also pressed. Around 35,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.
