A la carte

The magazine "A la Carte - Magazine for Drinking and Eating Culture" is available with country-specific issues in France. Germany and Austria, whereby the individual countries act largely independently (but there are also special guides about cities, regions or hotels called "A la Carte"). The editors of the Austria edition are Hans Schmid and Christian Grünwald, editor-in-chief is Christian Grünwald, permanent employee for the wine sector is Michael, for example Prónay, Since 1991, the best restaurants have been rated with one to five stars, as well as using a 100-point system. The stars illustrate the overall rating, the points provide information about the exact performance of a restaurant. Attention is paid to the kitchen line (one to five crowns), the service, the wine selection (one to three bottles) and the ambience. There are additional ratings for a particularly high-quality offer digestives (Shot glass). Furthermore, a section about the best winegrowers and schnapps distilleries is published every year.
