Abadesa

The white grape variety (engl. Abbess) is a new cross between Palomino Fino (Palomino) x Treixadura 41 (Portuguese Trajadura). The cross is made in Spain at the Institut Consejeria de Agricultura y Pesca in Jerez (Andalusia). The same parents also gave rise to the variety Abaca. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
