Abbo

The red grape variety originates from Morocco. Synonyms are Abbou and Habou. The parentage is unknown. It is used as table grape. In 2010, 2,375 hectares of vines were still reported, but in 2016 there was no longer an entry (Kym Anderson). Possibly because it is used exclusively as table grape.

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
