The white grape variety (the name means "fertile") is a new breed between Madeleine Royale x Kövidinka, The crossing was carried out by Alexander Wanner in Laquenexy in France-Lorraine. Synonyms are Abondant Blanc, Abundante, Wanner and Wannerrebe. The very productive variety is grown in Alsace and in Lorraine grown. In 2010 was in France however only covered less than one hectare (Kym Anderson ).
