The red grape variety is an interspecific one new breed between kolor x Chancellor, Synonyms and breeding numbers are Geisenheim 8230-2 and GM 8230-2. The crossing took place in 1982 in the research institute Geisenheim (Germany); the variety protection was granted in 2007. The late ripening vine is resistant to real (high) and wrong mildew (sufficient) as well as by the looseness of and firm stems are less susceptible to Botrytis, It therefore becomes one of the PIWI Varieties. It yields due to the colored pulp tanninreiche, dark red red wines with vanilla flavor, as teinturier are suitable. No stocks were shown in 2010 (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
