The white grape variety is a new cross between Raffiat de Moncade x Sauvignon Blanc. The crossing was carried out on behalf of INRA by the Basque Pierre Marcel Durquéty (1923-2016) with the support of the University of Montpellier. Incidentally, the same parents also gave rise to the Arriloba variety. The vine yields a fruity white wine reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
