The red variety is a new breed between Bellino x Précoce de Malingre, Synonyms are Agostenga Rossa, IP 14, Pirovano 14, blue silk grape (blue silk grape) and red silk grape (silk grape red). The crossing took place in 1901 at the research center in Rome by the Italian breeder Alberto Pirovano (1884-1973). According to done in 2013 DNA analysis turned on the parenting Bellino x specified in the breed list Madeleine Angevine as wrong. The variety is called Kelter- and table grape used. No stocks were reported in 2010 (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
