Albaranzeuli Nero

The red variety comes from Italy, Synonyms are Albarenzeuli Nero, Albarenzelin Nero and Uva Melone. One hypothesis is that during the Spanish occupation, from 1323 to 1720, they left the Iberian Peninsula Sardinia was introduced. It becomes a relationship with the white species Albaranzeuli Bianco supposed. The late-ripening vine yields color-poor, low-alcohol and low-acid red wines. It is grown in the province of Nuoro. The acreage in 2010 was 49 hectares (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
