Albarín Blanco

The white grape variety comes from Spain, Synonyms are Albarin Bianco, Blanca del País, Blanco Legítimo, Blanco País, Blanco Verdín, Branca do País, Branco Lexítimo, Raposo and Tinta Fina. Despite apparently suggestive synonyms or similarities, it is not allowed with the varieties Albillo Real. Alfrocheiro (Albarín Negro), Alvarinho. Elbling and Gouais Blanc (both also Blanco Verdín), as well as Savagnin Blanc (was grown in Spain and Australia under the names Albariño and Albarín Blanco). Completed according to 2013 DNA analysis is it from a presumably natural cross between Savagnin Blanc ( Traminer ) x unknown variety emerged. However, this is based on only 20 DNA markers (see under molecular Genetics ). The early ripening vine is resistant to the wrong people mildew, It produces spicy, acidic white wines with a floral aroma. The variety is grown in the Asturias region. In 2010, 23 hectares of vineyards (Kym Anderson ).
