The white grape variety originates from Spain. Synonyms are Albilla, Albilla de Manchuela and Albillo del Pozo. Despite seemingly suggestive synonyms or morphological similarities, it should not be confused with the Albillo Mayor, Albillo Real or Palomino (Albillo de Lucena) varieties (see also a complete list under Albillo). The variety produces white wines with flavours of honey and apples. It is cultivated in the eponymous province of Albacete (Castilla-La Mancha) and is authorised in the Manchuela DO area. However, no stock was recorded in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
