Alcoholic fermentation

alcoholic fermentation (GB)
fermentation alcoolique (F)
fermentazione alcolica (I)

Occasionally used closer term (also ethanolic fermentation) for the biochemical process of converting sugar into ethanol and carbon dioxide. As a rule, this is simply called fermentation, but "alcoholic fermentation" avoids confusion with bottle fermentation or malolactic fer mentation.
