Alexander Winter

The red grape variety is an interspecific new breeding between vines of the species Vitis labrusca x Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was selected in 1884 in the US state of Ohio by A. S. Elexander. It must not be confused with the Alexander variety. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
