Almeria

The white grape variety (also Almaria) is a new variety, but the parents are unknown. It was crossed in France in 1860 by the breeder Jean-Pierre Vibert (see under Moreau-Robert). It must not be confused with the variety Ohanes (with synonym Almeria). The vine is used as a winepress and table grape as well as for sultanas. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
