Department in the southeast France with the capital Digne-les-Bains in the political region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. It borders the Alpes Maritimes (O), var (S), Vaucluse (W) Drôme (NW) and Hautes-Alpes (N), as well as at Italy (NO).
