American Wine Society

Largest consumer-based wine organization in the United States headquartered in Englewood Ohio, It was founded in 1967 as a non-profit and educational organization under the leadership of Dr. Constable Frank founded. Membership is open to anyone interested in wine over the age of 21. The motto is "promoting the appreciation of wine through education". Today, the AWS has a total of 4,000 members in 45 US states, around a third of whom are amateur winemakers. The members also include well-known wineries such as Castello Banfi. Charles Krug Winery and Gallo, Initially, the focus was on American wines, but this has since expanded to include products from all over the world. A wine competition has been taking place in November every year since 1975, initially for amateurs, commercially since 1986, and ends with a three-day congress.
