Amper

In the Austrian Weinviertel Common name for a bucket-type Vessel with one-sided grip. It derives from the Old High German "ambar" (Latin "ampora", a minor form of amphora ). This was the freshly pressed grape to the barrel in the wine cellar transported. The amp was previously by the Press by means of Sechterl filled.
