Arunda Reiterer

The estate is located in the municipality of Mölten (Meltina), around 20 kilometers from Bolzano in the Italian viticulture sector South-Tirol (Region Trentino-Alto Adige ). The winery, founded in 1979 at 1,200 meters above sea level, is the highest Europe. The family business is run by Josef (microbiologist, viticulture technician, contact to the winegrowers), his wife Marianne (customer care) and Michael Reiterer (sales, marketing). It is named after a mountain in the Vinschgau. Only sparkling wines are produced using the champagne method, which are stored on the yeast for at least 24 months, and up to five years for Reserva qualities. There are no separate vineyards, but the Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir varieties used come from quality winegrowers from various regions of South Tyrol such as Buchholz bei Salurn, Eppan-Berg, Girlan and Terlan. The cultivation is controlled by the Reiterer family. After the grapes have been processed, the various wines are brought to the cellar in Mölten, where the phases of sparkling wine production take place. Different sparkling wine styles such as Millesimato (vintage sparkling wine), Blanc de Blancs (Chardonnay), varietal cuvées and rosés are produced and marketed under "Arunda Vivaldi". Around 70,000 bottles of sparkling wine are produced every year. It will be too vinegars distributed.
