Vineyards and founded the modern viticulture. At Neszmély there is today the most modern winery Hilltop. The vineyards on sandy and loess cover about 1,900 hectares of vineyards. The main grape varieties are Chardonnay, Ezerjó, Irsai Olivér, Leányka (girl's grape), Olasz Rizling (Welschriesling), Rizlingszilváni (Müller-Thurgau), Sauvignon Blanc, Szürkebarat (Pinot Gris) and Füszeres Tramini (Gewürztraminer). It is mainly produced acid-rich and full-bodied white wines with storage potential. Well-known producers are Hilltop Neszmély and Szöllősi Pincészet.
