Athos - Zografou Monastery and Simonos Petras

The "Holy Mount Athos" (Greek Ágion Óros, English Mount Athos) is an Orthodox monastic republic with autonomous status under Greek sovereignty in Greece, It is located on the eastern finger of the same name on the Chalkidikí peninsula in the center of the region Macedonia, On Holy Mountain there are a total of 20 large monasteries that are part of the UNESCO World Heritage. On the slopes there is also viticulture, which produced here PGE wines (Topikos Oinos = country wines) are with the origin Agioritikos marketed (see the producers there).
