The wine and Obstgut lies in the municipality Langenlois
in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region Kamptal
, It specializes in the care and pressing of old and rare grape varieties and the distillation of apricots and grapes. The vineyards cover only 0.7 hectares, with the varieties Grüner Veltliner, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Zweigelt and Blauburger, and the rarities Isabella
and Queen Elisabeth
are planted. From the latter variety, a noble grape brandy distilled. Another specialty is a Riesling brand from 1929, which was bottled in 1937, kept until 1993 in a locked basement tavern and recorked this year. From the variety Isabella a sweet dessert rosé wine is pressed (table wine). On 0.25 hectares apples and apricots are cultivated.
