The white grape variety (also Dunstan 56) is an interspecific new breeding between Villard Blanc (SV 12-375) x Chaouch Blanc (Çavuş). It contains genes from Vitis berlandieri, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in the USA in 1950 by the breeder Robert T. Dunston. It is used as table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
