The "International Austrian Wine Challenge" took place for the first time in Vienna(Austria) in 2004. The founder and inventor was the Viennese winery owner Michael Edlmoser. In the process, 4,126 wines from ten nations were evaluated. All wines are tasted anonymously (blind) in individual tasting booths at the Höhere Bundeslehranstalt und Bundesamt für Weinbau in Klosterneuburg and graded according to the international 100-point system. There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
