The white grape is an interspecific new breed between Clinton x Golden Chasselas ( Chasselas ). Synonyms are Arnold 5, Arnold's 5 and Arnold's Hybrid No. 5. They are genes of Vitis labrusca. Vitis riparia and Vitis vinifera contain. The intersection of hybrid took place in 1859 in Canada by Charles Arnold, the distribution was from 1870. The variety was considered the best white hybrid variety, but it is prone to mildew, Gray mold ( Botrytis ), Winter cold and the phylloxera, which made her uninteresting for cultivation.
