Barkan Wine Cellars

The biggest one Israeli Producers of wines and spirits counting operation was founded in 1990. The most modern built winery is located in Kibbutz Hulda west of Jerusalem. The owner of the private enterprise is Samuel Boxer, as cellar master Ed Salzberg is responsible. The product range also includes wormwood. vodka (with the well-known brand Arkan), brandy. liqueur. gin and rum, as well as olive oil. The main product, however, are wines from the red varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, as well as the white wine varieties Chardonnay. Emerald Riesling. Muscat d'Alexandrie. Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc, The own vineyards cover 250 hectares of vineyards. In addition, there are another hundred hectares, which are managed by grape-contracting contract growers.

The vineyards are located in the Israeli vineyards Negev, Dan, Samson, Jerusalem Hill and Galilee. The wines and spirits are made according to the strict, religious kosher Conditions produced. With a special license from the Ministry of Defense, products are also delivered to the Israeli armed forces. The wines are produced under the labels Reserve (the most famous brand), Classic, Classic Dessert, Lachish, 375, Millenium, Village and Monfort.
