baron

The red grape variety (also FR 455-83 R) is a new breed between Cabernet Sauvignon x ( Merzling x ( Zarya Severa x St. Laurent )). They are genes from Vitis amurensis. Vitis lincecumii. Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera contain. The variety later went from the father variety Bronner out. The crossing of the hybrid was done in 1983 by Norbert Becker (1937-2012) at the Weinbauinstitut Freiburg (Baden-Württemberg). The late-ripening vine is resistant to the real and the wrong mildew and is considered PIWI -Variety. It produces color intensive, tanninreiche Red wines. In 2010, however, no stocks were reported (Kym Anderson ).
