The estate is located in the municipality of Monzel (Bernkastel area) in the German wine-growing region Moselle, The owners Mona Bastgen and Armin Vogel are in Geisenheim Graduated oenologists who started building their own winery in 1993. Mona Bastgen brought in around two hectares of vineyards from her parents' business. The vineyards cover almost five hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Juffer sundial ( Brauneberg ) Paulinshofberg (Kesten) and Weisenstein (Bernkastel-Kues). They are planted to 70% with the Riesling, as well as the varieties Pinot Blanc, Regent, Pinot Noir and Pinot Noir. The yield is contrary to the usual thin out limited by halving the grapes, thereby creating the desired one lockerbeerige Grape material emerges. The Rieslings are largely made of stainless steel, but also in traditional wood powder. These are traditionally based on moderate alcohol. The only wines that are marketed are single wines from highly ripe grapes under the names Juffer Sonnenuhr, Paulinshofberg and Weisenstein. The Gutsriesling "Blue Slate" is a layered cuvée.
