Benediktusberg

single vineyard in the municipality of Retzbach (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region of Franconia. The vineyards, which are oriented from west-southwest to south with slopes ranging from 30 to 80%, cover 62 hectares of vineyards on shell limestone soils. The varieties cultivated here include Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Kerner, Pinot Noir and Blauer Portugieser. Shares are held, for example, by the Hart Privat-Weingut, May Rudolf and Winzerfamilie Koch wineries, as well as members of the Thüngersheim winegrowers' cooperative.
