The white grape variety originates from Turkey. Synonyms are Begleri, Beilerdje, Beilerse, Beylace, Beyleri, Bilecik, Malbais, Malvais, Malvans and Muna Belaya. It is grown in the western regions of Marmaris and Thrace. The variety is used as a winepress and table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
