Bicane

The white grape variety originates from France. Synonyms are Agyras, Becanne, Becaune, Bicaine, Bican, Bicane Blanc, Bicanne, Bikan, Chasselas Napoleon, Chrupka Napoleonova, Damascene Early White, Yellow Geisutte, Green Juice, Ox Eye, Petit Blanchon, White Napoleon and Zanta. It is an all-female grape variety that tends to trickle. It is mainly used as table grape. The variety was a popular crossing partner of, for example, the new varieties Admirable de Courtiller, Bouchereau, Calabrisi Bianco, Ciclopica, Donaris, Emilia, Fürstentraube, Italia, Précoce de Malingre, Perlona, Select (2), Sicilien, Xenia (1) and Zagore. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
