Bickel-Stumpf

The estate is located in the commune of Frickenhausen (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region Franconia, The company was founded in 1976 by the wedding of the two winegrowers Reimund Stumpf and Carmen Bickel, who united their two wineries. The vineyards cover nine hectares of vineyards in the individual layers fisherman and chapel hill (Frickenhausen), as well Johannisberg and Scharlachberg (Thuengersheim). They are planted with the white varieties Silvaner (30%), Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe, Rieslaner and Traminer, as well as the red varieties Pinot Noir, Portugieser, Domina and Cabernet Dorsa. Integrated, natural viticulture is consistently practiced. The winemaking takes place in the modern basement building in Thüngersheim. The white wines are aged exclusively in steel tanks, the red wines since 1994 in barriques. There are three lines according to that VDP classification model, Fine brandies (pomace, William, plum) are also produced. Great importance is attached to the connection of wine and culinary experiences with special events. The winery is a member of VDP (Association of German quality wine estates).
