DOC zone for red wines, rosé wines and white wines in the Italian region of Calabria. The zone covers 14 hectares of vineyards in the municipalities of Bivongi, Camini, Caulonia, Monasterace, Pazzano, Placanica, Riace, Stignano and Stilo in the province of Reggio Calabria, and Guardavalle in the province of Catanzaro. The Bianco is blended from Greco B ianco and/or Guardavalle and/or Montonico Bianco (30-50%), Ansonica and/or Malvasia Bianca = Malvasia Bianca di Candia (30-50%), as well as other authorised varieties (max. 30%). The wine types Rosso (also as Novello and Riserva) and Rosato are produced from Gaglioppo and/or Greco Nero and/or Nocera and/or Calabrese and/or Castiglione (30-50%), as well as other authorised red (max. 10%) and white varieties (max. 15%).
