The intersection of hybrid took place in 1923 in Minnesota (USA) by the breeder MJ Dorsey. The extreme hardy Variety (down to minus 40 degrees Celsius) is grown in the northern states of the US such as Iowa and Canada and for the production of table grapes and grape juice, but also used as Keltertraube.
