Spanish term for cellar/winery, in a broader sense also for wine cellar or winery. The name is derived from the Greek "apothecary" (literally "storeroom"). Quite common is the combination "Bodegas y Viñedos", which means "wineries (cellars) and vineyards". The cellar master is the bodeguero. The Catalan "celler" for cellar is only used in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands. Rather only in Navarre is the term "señorio" (manor house) also in use (not only for wineries), which refers to a historic noble residence. The tavern (inn) is called "taberna" in Spanish.
