Bodegas Cañalva

Producer description of "Bodegas Ruiz y Peloche C.B."
The winery (formerly Bodegas Ruiz y Peloche) is located in the municipality of Cañamero (province of Cáceres) in the DO Ribera del Guadiana in the Spanish region of Extremadura. It was founded in the 1960s. The vineyards cover ten hectares of vineyards planted with the red varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Tempranillo, and the white varieties Alarije, Cayetana Blanca, Macabeo and Pardina (Pardillo). The wines are produced under the four brand names Cañalva, Fuento Cortijo, Madrila and Pitarra.
