Bodegas Paradells

The winery is located in the municipality of Guadajira next to the city of Lobón (province of Badajoz) in the DO Ribera del Guadiana in the Spanish region of Extremadura. The family business was founded in 2007 by Salvador and Alejandro García-Paradells. The vineyards cover only ten hectares of vineyards, which are planted with Tempranillo (9 hectares) and Cabernet Sauvignon (1 hectare). They are cultivated according to ecological guidelines. The grapes, which are limited to a maximum yield of 5,500 kg/ha, are selected twice during the manual harvest. After temperature-controlled fermentation in steel tanks, red wines are produced under the name "Zaos" in two variants (tank and barrique) and bottled unfiltered. Around 45,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.
