The winery "Bodegas Puente Ajuda S.A.T. Mesas del Rio" is located in the town of Olivenza (Badajoz province) in the DO Ribera del Guadiana in the Spanish region of Extremadura. It was founded in 1985 by a family with a long agricultural tradition. The farm is run by Antonio Gómez Núñez. The total estate covers 160 hectares, of which 100 hectares are cultivated with vines. These are the varieties Tempranillo (40%), Cabernet Sauvignon (25%), Garnacha Tinta (25%) and Merlot (10%). The wines produced are Duque de Cadaval, Marbean and Viña Alor.
