Producer description of "Ventura de Vega"
The winery is located in the town of Almendralejo (Badajoz province) in the DO Ribera del Guadiana in the Spanish region of Extremadura. The traditional family business was founded in the 1930s. In the 1990s, major investments were made in modern cellar technology. Only two grape varieties are cultivated, Tempranillo and Viura (Macabeo). The wines are produced under the appellations Cadencias, Leyendas, Tallant and Vega Esteban. About 85% of the production is exported.
