The company is located in the municipality of Kirchscheidungen in the German growing region Saale-Unstrut
, The farm can look back on 300 years of history. Since 1990 the family has managed the farm again as self-employed farmers and winemakers. After the cellar had been newly furnished with modern stainless steel tanks, all wines have been developed since the 1994 vintage. The vineyards were expanded by part of the former Schulenburg vineyard (the house location in Castle Burgscheidungen). The vineyards cover nine hectares of vineyards in the Veitsgrube (Burgscheidungen) and Rappental (Dorndorf) locations. They are planted with the white varieties Pinot Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Riesling, Kerner, Gutedel and Traminer, as well as the red varieties Dornfelder, Pinot Noir, Portuguese and Pinot Noir. Management in the vineyard is close to nature. The wines are traditionally aged dry, layered and sorted. The white wines are vinified with pure tones and low in tannins. The red wine is made using the classic mash fermentation process. The reductive expansion in the stainless steel tank produces young, fresh and lively wines.
