The white grape variety comes from Italy, Synonyms are Bosco Bianco, Bosco Bianco del Genovese and Bosco Bianco di Savona. It must not be with the variety Scimiscià (Synonym Genovese) can be confused. The late-ripening, productive vine is moderately resistant to bunch rot and wrong, but prone to real ones mildew, It renders amber, light white wines with aromas of nuts, almonds, honey and dried figs. The variety is in Liguria in the DOC wines Cinque Terre and Colline di Levanto authorized. In 2010, 82 hectares of vineyards were reported (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
