The white grape variety comes from Croatia from the island of Korčula. Synonyms are Brabkovica, Brakovina, Brapkovica, Brapkovina, Bratkovina Blatska, Mesnac, Mesnac Tverdi, Popedre, Popetre, Sljiva and Stradunska. The parentage is unknown. According to in 2002 DNA analysis she is a parent of Pošip Bijeli, About a possible relationship with the red variety Bratkovina Crna nothing is known. The medium to late ripening vine produces fresh, acidic white wines, which are mostly blended with Pošip Bijeli. It is grown in the Srednja / Juzna Dalmacija region (Central and South Dalmatia), which also includes the island of Korčula. In 2010, however, no stock was shown (Kym Anderson ).
