Bratkovina Bijela

The white grape comes from Croatia, from the island of Korcula. Synonyms are Brabkovica, Brakovina, Brapkovica, Brapkovina, Bratkovina Blatska, Mesac, Mesnac, Mesnac Tvrdi, Popedre, Popetre and Stradunska. According to 2002 done DNA analysis she is a parent of Pošip Bijeli, The red variety Bratkovina Crna is an independent, pure female grape, The medium to late maturing Bratkovina Bijela produces fresh, acidic white wines, which are mostly blended with Pošip Bijeli. It is grown in the region of Srednja / Juzna Dalmacija (Central and South Dalmatia), which also includes Korcula. In 2010, however, no inventory was reported.
