Bratkovina Crna

The red grape variety originates from Croatia. Synonyms are Bratkovina, Bratkovina Crvena, Bratkovina Noir, Bratkovina Sura, Crljenica, Hailka, Halahusa, Lelehusa, Lelehusa Crna, Lelekusa, Mesac, Mesnac, Mesnac Crljeni, Mesnac Tverdi, Mesnac Tvrdi, Posipica, Posipica Crvena, Runjavica Turda, Sljiva and Surica. The parentage is unknown. Nothing is known about a possible relationship to the white variety Bratkovina Bijela. It is a purely female grape variety. The vine is used as a winepress and table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
