Brézème-Côtes du Rhône

Appellation in the southern part of the Rhône wine region. The commune is located near Livron at the confluence of the Drôme and Rhône rivers in the Drôme department. It is the only one allowed to put its name before the appellation Côtes du Rhône. The vineyards cover 30 hectares of limestone marl soil terraced with dry stone walls. The area is authorised for white wines and red wines with the Côtes du Rhône grape varieties or conditions. The red wine is mostly made from pure Syrah grapes. Well-known producers are Château La Rolière, Domaine de Bréseyme Allex, Domaine Lombard and Domaine des Quatre Cerises.
