Brügel Harald

The estate is located in the municipality of Castell-Greuth (Steigerwald area) at the foot of the Steigerwald in the German wine-growing region Franconia, It was founded in 1992 by Heinrich Brügel. Today it is run by his son Harald Brügel. The vineyards cover nearly nine hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Altenberg (Abtswind), Kirchberg (Castell), as well as craft (Greuth). They are planted with the white varieties Silvaner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Bacchus, Scheurebe and Gelber Muskateller and the red varieties Pinot Noir, Blue Portuguese and Domina. The white wines ferment in the steel tank and store for a long time on the lees; the filtration is kept to a minimum. The red wines are becoming more classic maceration matured in a large wooden barrel or in oak barrels. In weather-appropriate years is also a Eiswein vinified. Every year around 70,000 bottles of wine are produced.
