The winery "BRÜNDY - Weingut am Wagram" is located in the municipality of Feuersbrunn in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Wagram. The traditional family has been growing grapes here since 1760. In 1986, Rudolf Bründlmayer took over his parents' business. In 1988, he was the first winemaker in this region to plant the Cabernet Sauvignon variety and experimented with French barrique barrels in the early 1980s. The vineyards cover 20 hectares of vines in the Bründlgraben, Hengstberg, Holzweg, Nussberg, Ritzenthal, Rosenberg and Stiegl vineyards. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Roter Veltliner, Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Muskat-Ottonel and Roter Traminer, and with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blauburger, Rathay, Roesler and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The "BRÜNDY" brand was created with the 2006 vintage. The main focus is on terroir, site wines and autochthonous varieties. The wines are produced in three lines. The "BRÜ" line includes fruity-fresh wines aged in stainless steel that are intended for young enjoyment. The "Lagenweine" are varietal wines with an emphasis on terroir, which are matured in stainless steel or in large wooden barrels. The top line "Grand BRÜ" comprises the premium wines with at least 13% alcohol by volume, which are aged in new French barriques and marketed in May of the following year at the earliest. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines, noble brandies and grape juice are also produced.

In 2007, Rudolf Bründlmayer and his son Stephan founded BRÜNDY Weinkellerei GmbH, based in Grafenwörth. This company is responsible for the Austria-wide distribution of BRÜNDY's own wines, as well as those of friendly wineries in the Kamptal and the Wachau. The main task is to supply and support existing customers, as well as to open up new markets through wine presentations and trade fairs at home and abroad. Exports are made to Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Poland, the UK, India, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Hawaii. The winegrowers have retained their autonomy and independence in terms of vineyard management and winemaking. The vineyards cover a total of 35 hectares. The wines of the three wineries Deiblhof, GloXner and Graf Stubenberg are vinified in their own winery in Langenlois. Around 250,000 bottles of wine are produced annually:

  • BRÜNDY in Feuersbrunn - Wagram
  • Deiblhof in Langenlois - Kamptal
  • GloXner Vineyards in Langenlois - Kamptal
  • Schlossweingut Graf Stubenberg near Walkersdorf am Kamp - Kamptal
  • Stierschneider Richard in Oberloiben - Wachau
