The red grape variety (also Bubbiarasso) originates from Italy. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2006, it originated from a presumably natural cross between Nebbiolo x Bianchetta di Saluzzo. It is cultivated in the province of Cuneo in Piedmont. However, no stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
