Bubblies

In South Africa common name (Bubble = bubble) for simple sparkling wines produced in large quantities from mostly Chenin Blanc or nutmeg varieties. They are carbonated and then sweetened. The better quality sparkling wines are produced according to the Méthode cap classique (MCC). English standard designations overseas are Crackling Wine for sparkling wine and Sparkling Wine for sparkling wine.
