The white grape variety originates from Georgia. Synonyms are Boudechouri Chavi, Budeshuri Saperavi, Budeshuri Shavi, Chabi Boudeckouri, Tamareuli, Tangareuli and Tsiteli Budeshuri. It should not be confused with the white-berried variety Budeshuri Tetri. The early to medium maturing, high yielding vine is resistant to fungal diseases. Budeshuri refers to the oval-shaped, reddish berries. The variety is used as a winepress and table grape. It is grown in small quantities in Kakheti. However, no stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
