Buergergarten

Single location in the municipality of Haardt (Mittelhaardt-German Wine Route area) in the German wine-growing region palatinate, The south-east facing vineyard at 180 meters above sea level comprises 15 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards, for example, have a share in the Bürgergarten location Kaub Karl-Heinz. Weegmüller and Weik Bernd, The “Breumel in the walls” plot with a 5% slope encompasses 2.6 hectares of vineyards. Until 1971, this was an independent, individual location and efforts are now being made to classify it as such again. The plot is surrounded by a three-meter-high sandstone wall, which offers protection from winds and creates a special microclimate. The plateau-like parcel once belonged to the bailiwick of the “Winzina” castle complex above and is probably named by one of its former owners (castle bailiffs).
