The "Azienda Agricola Bulichella" is located in the municipality of Suvereto (province of Livorno) in the Italian region of Tuscany. The farm was founded in 1983. The decision was made for a nature- and environment-friendly cultivation, also taking into account social aspects. In 1999, the company became the property of the Japanese Miyakawa family, consisting of Hideyuki, Marisa and their children. Luca D'Attoma is the oenologist in charge. A technologically modern new wine cellar was put into operation in 1997. The farm covers 42 hectares of land with 17 hectares of vineyards.

These are planted with the white wine variety Vermentino, as well as the red wine varieties Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot. The organic, sustainable cultivation and the entire production is carried out according to the certified guidelines of the organisation ICEA (Institute for Ethical and Environmental Certification). The two premium wines of the house are the DOCG red wine Suvereto "Coldipietrerosse" from the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet and Merlot, which matures for 22 months in 70% new barriques and 12 months in the bottle, as well as the red wine IGT Toscana "Hide" (abbreviation of Hideyuki) dedicated to the owner from 100% Syrah, which matures for 10 months in 100% new barriques and 12 months in the bottle.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
